One of the highlights of my trip to Iceland was the opportunity to take a hike onto a glacier. As part of a tour, I was only able to travel a short distance on the ice, but even this gave me the opportunity to admire the scale and majesty of this earth-shaping entity, now sadly threatened by a changing climate.
